Color Grading

Color in the video post-production workflow is no longer a simple matter of getting your color settings right. With the arrival of RAW or S-log recording to all range of video cameras, Color Grading has become a key aspect to all media projects.

Grading offers one of the most significant enhancements you can make to your material once it’s been shot. It can elevate a good image to great and a great image to outstanding.

We adapt our workflow to your needs, taking into account the scope of your project as well as your budget while spending as much time as possible on the creative aspect of Color Grading.

Post Services

At On-Media, we offer a full range of services for your video finishing needs. We simplify postproduction by integrating the following services in a comprehensive workflow.

Conforming

From shorts to features, On-Media is equipped to tackle the full spectrum of video work with extensive expertise. Conforming a high budget 30-second commercial might not involve the daunting challenges presented by a long form documentary with hundreds of hours of media filmed over years (if not decades) in multiple codecs, resolutions and frame rates. With our professional background in documentary films, we understand and care for the special needs of non-fiction creators.

Transcoding / Archival and Old Footage Repair

We use Cinnafilm’s award-winning Tachyon for frame-rate conversion and optimization tool. Created from the ground up for file-based workflows, there is not another engine on the market that can match the speed, scalability and excellent transcoding results of Tachyon

Using the DaVinci Resolve suite of correction effects such as ResolveFX Color and ResolveFX Revival , we tackle the most characteristic challenges presented by archival film and video footage, including dust, hair, scratches and color stabilization.

DCP Production

We produce your DCPs at the highest quality and lowest cost possible. We encode the film into a Digital Cinema Package with JPEG2000 Kakadu implementation and ensure that your project meets all necessary Academy Specifications and international standards.

We perform a computer-based quality control of your DCP master and copies. In addition, we offer a DCP Dolby Certified Theater to screen your film.

Music & Sound Studio

Lead by principles John McDermott and Christian Hanlon, the Temp Love team is comprised of 20 audio professionals nationwide – composers, mixers, music supervisors and music legal specialists. In addition to being able to craft original scores that range from grand orchestral movements to raw, garage rock, Temp Love also owns a one-stop, easy-to-clear, production music library containing more than 2,750 tracks.

VFX Studio

Color Shack is a company based in Los Angeles, specializing in video post-production, offering a full range of services, from color grading to VFX/CGI and VR applications. Color Shack was created by renowned colorist Jack Bulik C.S.I , who has a long experience working for major brands around the world grading commercials, feature films, TV shows, and music on the biggest post-production houses in Europe, Asia and the USA.

About Us

IBON OLASKOAGA | Founder, Post Supervisor, Editor, Colorist

Ibon Olaskoaga, founder of On-Media, has been working in postproduction for over 25 years. His professional career started as an online editor in some of the most popular post-production studios in Barcelona, Spain. In 1995 Ibon moved to Los Angeles, where he worked for CNN en Español, NBC, and Univision as program editor and post producer of numerous sports, entertainment and news programs. For the last fifteen years Ibon has been devoted to his passion, documentary films, working as a director, editor, and post supervisor on more than twenty award-winning feature documentaries. He brings hands-on expertise, a creative eye, and a multidisciplinary perspective to make your color grading and finishing a rewarding experience.

ANDRÉ CASTRO | Motion Graphics Designer, Art Director

André is an award-winning Art Director/Designer who possesses outstanding animation and editing skills and can conceptualize, design and execute high quality original work. With 25+ years of experience as a broadcast and multimedia professional, and extensive knowledge of the industry, he brings a creative and open-minded approach to projects and problem solving.
